A professionally designed landscape does many things for a home. Beyond placing a plant in your yard, a good landscape design:

So what’s the catch to get our free service? You will do some of the work, but not much. Using our do-it-yourself landscape design worksheets, we ask that you answer some questions about what you want, measure and map out the project area, and take a few photos. We can do these small tasks for you for a fee, but just remember that it will take longer to get a finished project.

On a typical spring day, Oak Park receives up to 50 calls from all over the Toledo, Ohio, area from homeowners wanting us to come out and give a free estimate on a project. Because we serve customers at our design center all day, we can only visit two or three homes per evening to estimate projects and offer our affordable landscape ideas. Hence, it might take a week or two before we are able to get to your home. By the time we draw up a design and type a proposal, another week could pass. By that time, you might decide you would like to incorporate a different plant, or change the scope of the project altogether. That would create another week or two of revision and approval, and we haven’t even started to schedule delivery or installation.

This is why you should consider Oak Park’s free design service. And don’t worry, getting started is easy. All you need to do is download the design worksheets from our Web site, which includes a questionnaire and graph paper. The questionnaire helps direct your thoughts about your desired landscape features, while the graph paper is for mapping out the area with dimensions. We ask that you take some photos of the project area, and have them printed. Once you have these tasks completed, call for an appointment to meet with a designer for up to 60 minutes. At the end of the session, you have a design, we show you the proposed plants and/or materials, and you have an affordable price. We can schedule delivery or installation – or you can pick everything up at your convenience.
